Attention Star Wars fans on the web! Starting today, Twitter users will have even more ways to express their passion about a timeless pop culture phenomenon with new Twitter-exclusive. #StarWarsEmojis.
In anticipation of the very talked about release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” We were happy to have partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to create custom Twitter emojis, giving Twitter users the ability to show their enthusiasm for the ever-evolving Star Wars universe.
A plethera of custom emojis will be released in honor of the upcoming film, including iconic legacy characters and a bunch of new characters from #TheForceAwakens. The first three #StarWarsEmojis debuted today during the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California.
Tweeting one of the #StarWarsEmoji is easy. Twitter users who post hashtags representing keywords associated with specific characters and legacy themes will see a mini emoji-like icon automatically appended to the end of the text of the tag, embedded within the Tweet.
